1. Who we are

Blood Donation is developed by Lexus Developers. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can control or delete it.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect: CNIC/national ID number, disease or medical-history information, contacts, SMS/call logs, or camera/photo data.

3. How we use your information

To create and secure your account.
To match you with nearby, compatible blood donors or requesters.
To let you communicate about a donation via in-app chat.
To send you notifications about matches, bookings, and donation status.
To keep the platform safe (rate limiting, abuse investigation via security audit logs).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Location data

Location sharing is entirely opt-in and manual — the app never tracks your location in the background. Other users never see your exact coordinates; they see an approximate distance band (e.g. "under 5 km"). You can pause location sharing at any time in Location settings.

5. Who we share information with

Firebase (Google) — phone-number verification (Firebase Phone Auth) and push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging). Google's own privacy policy applies to its processing of this data.
We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Your rights and choices

Access: view your profile information in-app under Profile.
Correction: edit your name, phone number, and profile from Account settings.
Deletion: delete your account and associated data from Profile → About → Account & Data Deletion, or via our Account Deletion page.
Pausing location: turn off location sharing at any time without deleting your account.

7. Data retention

Most personal data is retained until you delete your account. In-app notifications are kept for up to 90 days or until account deletion, whichever comes first. Security and audit logs are retained for 2 years for fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized. Records tied to a completed donation, booking, or chat with another user are retained as described on our Account Deletion page.

8. Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Blood Donation, whether as a donor or as someone posting a request on a patient's behalf.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed session tokens, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
